Jayne Jones, Argyll and Bute Council and Chair of ASSIST FM. Jayne Jones is the Commercial Manager for Argyll and Bute Council, with responsibility for the Catering and Cleaning Service, Events and for the provision of free period products across the Council area. She has also been the Food Fund lead for the Council during the pandemic response, was a member of the Scottish Government’s Social Renewal Advisory Board’s Food Circle and is currently a member of the Steering Group established to end the need for foodbanks in Scotland. J

Jayne is the immediate past chair of ASSIST FM, which is the organisation which represents the 32 Scottish Local Authorities for all matters relating to catering, cleaning and FM services. In this role, she works with colleagues across Scotland to implement universal free school meals, and supports wider work to improve public sector food and drink by taking a sustainable food systems approach to public sector food.

Jayne was listed as one of the Public Sector Catering's Most Influential People in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and is a 2021 Acumen Academy UK Fellow
